I think on all my posts so far I’ve been writing too much. Today’s post is all about Pablo and his parents. This session was one of those times when I felt so comfortable, happy and inspired that it’ll always remain a memorable and joyful experience for me. The truth is that it was my first real newborn session after Théo’s and, despite the challenge, I enjoyed it very much.
This was a lifestyle photography session (I described this type of session on this post), with all the difficulties related to shooting in the family’s home (a light you don’t know and don’t know if you will master, lack of props, etc.), but with all the magic of shooting real life moments: the baby and parents are at home, so they feel much more at ease; the images are so real that they’ll smile in the future when they’ll look at the pictures and remember those first days at home with the baby and for the photographer there’s this gratitude you feel for the parents for letting you be there during those moments.
In addition to the lifestyle pictures where I photographed Pablo’s mum breastfeeding the baby or changing his diaper, I also took some more posed pictures putting in practice what I learnt from Jessica Davey’s course. Babies are so cute at this early age that I couldn’t help it.
I think what really made me happy is when I was leaving the house and the parents told me they enjoyed the experience. What else can I wish, right?
Ok, now I’m going to stop writing (I’m writing too much again) and will leave you with this cutie and his parents.
Oh I love these photos Marta! I wish you were around when my kids were newborns, why only I found you now!?!?? Lucky parents of Pablo, What a treasure to have these shots!
